An investigation into systematic bias in prosecutions of children and young people in Aotearoa / New Zealand
The current experiment is part of a data mining project to investigate the existence of systematic bias in the prosecution of children and young people (aged 12-16 years) in Aotearoa / New Zealand. More precisely, the project aims to examine whether factors such as ethnicity, age, or gender correlate with harsher or lighter penalties for the same offences in the child and youth justice system.
